    PERFECTION

    There is no such thing as perfection,
    There is only acceptance,
    For what is perfect,
    There's no answer,
    And that's a fact.

    You might think it's perfect,
    Perfect it is, to you,
    But not to me,
    But maybe everyone ought to see beauty;
    Beauty despite flaws,
    Happiness despite sores,
    Love despite hatred,
    Light despite darkness.

    There's always a different perspective in life,
    A cup half empty or half full,
    Someone brave or downright a fool,
    A devastating failure or lesson learned,
    You decide your own turn.

    I choose not to seek "perfect"
    For idealistic I am in fact

    But have some wisdom in what you do,
    Imperfection doesn't mean not giving you best,
    Because no matter what you're going through,
    On your laurels, you don't rest.

    I believe there's no such thing as perfection in life,
    Especially when it comes to your husband or wife,
    For I guess some things should stay the same,
    The beauty within should remain,
    Focus on the good,
    Disregard the bad,
    And you'll see that all we ever wanted,
    Is already in our hands.
