Let’s see… since it’s American Idol Season again, it’s really hard not to talk abt it. Plus this year, it is obvious that there are so many talents. Seriously though, I truly believe that this year, it’s gonna be a guy. It’s definitely gonna be either David Archuleta or Jason Castro (Yep, I finally got both their names haha). Both of them are my fave guy contestant and honestly I have a feeling that it’s gonna be one of them. Now even if they don’t win…nvm…cuz they will hv great careers anyway. They are different and original. They sing from their hearts..and one thing I love abt singers are the delivery from the hearts. If it’s hearf-felt, it works for me. The only female contestant I truly am rooting for is Brooke White. Now she sings from her heart too…and beautifully. I love girls who play guitar and sings like that. Example – Colbie Callait & taylor swift. They really sound great and has talent. And they wrote songs from their heart. I cant really express through songs, but I try to express through words haha…There’s this girl, whose name slipped my mind ….Amanda Overmyers I think. She is the most natural singer I must say. She sings like she doesn’t care about the comments. She just goes on stage and ROCK and let everything be haha. I love that nature of hers. She is actually quite pretty except that her hair ….hmm…just …..not my kind of style haha. But if she is actually nervous…I really don’t see that. She’s just the let-it-be kind of girl. If I have to choose who to go next week…it’s Kristy. Didn’t think she should be in the Top 12. I mean, she’s good but I feel there are more deserving contestants. Well, we’ll have to leave it to the hands of America, since our Malaysian hands cant do anything, at least not for American Idol.

Anywayz…I also dig guys who has a guitar in their hands. I find them so attractive haha. Jason Castro is definitely the kind of guy I love haha. I mean, artistic and musical, with a touch of country style…I love guys like that (but in my circle of friends….there is very limited stock of this kind of guys haha). My secret wish (which I’m revealing now) is to have a guy who writes beautiful lyrics…(hopefully for me). *slap* *Slap* OKAY I KNOW… I’m waking up already. Anywayz…guys like Chris Richardson (who plays the guitar & sings beautifully), Jason Castro just makes me melt PERIOD! But just to add a little more, Michael Johns is not bad as well. He’s the HOTTIE haha.

OK movin on to some serious business. ELECTIONS! Now haha seriously…I’m not really a politically-interested kind of gal. But since my dad talks about it, it somehow generates some interest. Before this, my cyberlaw lecturer, Mr. (better-not-mention) did talk a quite a lot abt politics in class. So he did stir interest into us as well. And if there’s one thing I remember most from his class is this…there was once he asked my classmate whether she votes and she said, no cuz it wont make any difference. And he said one thing…that I guess is proven right in this election, and that is…if you don’t vote, it will definitely not make a difference. I think it’s very true. I mean, if you vote, at least you did something to try to change things. If you do nothing, you wont have the right to complaint about how things are going on because you did not do your part. So this year, after the influence of our cyberlaw lecturer, my best friend, YY, who already qualify to vote is super excited to cast her vote. Lucky her haha. I have to wait a couple more years. And I guess, MALAYSIANS really proved that freedom of speech lives in our country. They dared to go for what they want, against the conventional and we can see from the results. Well I’m just glad that some politicians took it like a pro. I admire Dr. Koh Tsu Koon most cuz he was so graceful and how do you put it – sporting I would say. I remember he lost but he looked as if he had just won. It’s really hard to do. I mean, I of course had gone thru this kind of situation. For me, it’s definitely hard to put on a happy face and congratulate your opponent haha (though I had to do that sometimes n far it worked sometimes..thank God…I was bleeding inside..at other times, I try to avoid these situations haha) Anywayz…it’s great that so far, things are still going well, no riots and stuff YET. Let’s pray that nothing serious happen. But I am overall happy with the results and I really hope the oppositions deliver, since they talk very loudly. They always speaks of justice and issues faced by the people and now, let’s see whether they are changes in the nation, especially in terms of HUMAN RIGHTS! And this is stupid but I’m also glad that Anwar’s daughter won haha…cuz she’s pretty. But of course, I’ve heard her talk before and I’m impressed with her. SO I was rooting for her though I can’t vote and even if I can, I will be voting in Ipoh and not her constituency.

I just finished watching AI a couple of minutes ago and this week, David Archuletta did not deliver…hmm…he stumbled after he forgotten his lyrics. Well, seriously, I don’t even think that matters. People loves him…and they are gonna vote him…since undeniably, popularity is also taken into consideration here. When Ryan Seacreast introduced him, we hear the loudest applause from the audience. Hmm…I really am torn between David and Jason. David sings from the heart too and he’s definitely better vocally…I like him but then…Jason’s style is more my kind of music. Darn…why do I even care? Haha I cant vote and I can only drool when I see them haha…it’s not like I can have them…OKAY!! I know…I am WAKING UP!!

OK if you are tired of me talking abt guys, let me talk abt animals. CHIPMUNKS !!! Finally, I have time to watch this movie, which I’ve anticipated for so long – Alvin & DA CUTE(chip)MUNKS!! My fave munk has got to be Theodore!!! He is so so so cute. Lately I’ve been so so busy(with The Sims computer game) I don’t have time to watch movies haha. Plus now that I am working, I don’t have a chance to watch a lot of movies in the cinema. Anywayz, I got to watch “ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS” over the weekends and LOVE IT! OKAY yea the story is lame…but 3 cutemunks is more than enough to cheer me up. I mean, the story is not that special but it’s entertaining cuz there are some good cute funky music and it’s fun to watch the chipmunks.Besides, I love Jason Lee, though he seems to be balding. He was extremely good-looking last time (with loads of hair). Do you know he was a skaterdude last time? Of course he still looks good and he is too very entertaining. It’s worth a watch if you really need some time out and relaxation you know. It doesn’t require much concentration…and it helps you chill. That’s exactly what I need after 2 tiring weeks and a string of bad, awful, terrible (what-ever-word that can express disastrous in the most disastrous way) luck. And of course, my bad luck ended when I won the Colbie callait tickets!! YAY!!! YIPPIE!! HOOOOOOORAYY !! HOO!!! I’m going tomoro!!! YAY AYYAYAYAY!!!! Words cant describe …haha. I will say, whether you like animals or not, you are sure to like the cutemunks. I have some really cool pics of the munks to share with ya…so enjoy.For now I got to run….ciao & dun miss me ….;)

I can’t believe that I forgot to tell you guys about the Colbie Callait showcase I went to last Friday, which is on the 14th March 2008! Yes! I went to watch Colbie LIVE!! Please excuse me while I gloat and boast because… haha I am really ecstatic.

Well it started out horrible because of the rain and so we had to bear with the heavy rain. We (my friend Ning and I) were soaking wet and cold. The rain also ruined my poster! DARN IT! But luckily the rain also wiped out half the crowd and therefore I got to stand in front. Ning, with her supermodel height unfortunately do not have the privilege to stand in front. The show was hosted by Hitz.fm’s Adam C and Natalie. Natalie is HOT! Haha…Adam C I must say looks better in real person. Because Colbie was late, both of them had quite a hard time managing the crowd (fans). Everyone was restless because of the rain. Even though both of them kept giving out prizes, it was not enough to keep the crowd quiet. Well I do understand cuz I was feeling the same way.

We waited for like 1 hour (though it felt much longer) before Colbie and her band came out. I was quite angry that she kept her fans waiting that long but when she sang, I guess she is forgiven. I don’t believe it but she really sounded a lot better live. She sang 6 songs and I was blown away. Because it was an open-air stage, her soothing, easy-listening music, together with the soft breeze creates such a romantic and relaxing the atmosphere, which I obviously love. Credits should also be given to her 3 hot band mates, though the hottest is definitely the one on a ‘drum-like’ instrument, which I don’t know what it is called. My friend Ning was all over the guy playing the “ukulele”, which is a guitar-like Hawaiian instrument. That guy reminds me of Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong. But Ning and I, at the end, were just busy drooling over how we love these types of musicians… haha.

We didn’t line up for the autograph session though, since I don’t have my poster anymore and the line was unbearable. Another down part is that my legs ached like hell after the show as a result of the prolonged standing. But on the whole, the showcase was fantastic!

Moving on to something local…Faizal from One In A Million. Now I have always been a fan of Faizal. I think he is one of the local celebrities who can make it big internationally. He really has the talent. Around 6 months ago, he got into trouble because of his performance in 8TV’s birthday bash party or sumthing. Well, he took out his shirt and bore his chest, with the Superman’s “S” sign. A lot of people were offended by his action. OK personally…I really don’t understand the big ‘hu-ha’. I mean, it was just a performance. It’s not like he stripped down to his knees. Everyone was like slamming him for this. I just don’t get it. I guess Malaysians are still pretty close-minded about this act. Which I don’t understand either. From what I see, Malaysians are getting more and more daring and open-minded in their actions…like how they dress and their ‘night’ activities etc. Plus, there are overseas acts which do this all the time and the fans love it. I just think that Faizal doesn’t deserve the harsh criticism. I am not saying that he should take his shirt off, cuz I think that his talent is good enough but even if he does, I think he merely wants to entertain and do something special to spice the show. But then, I’m glad that he is enjoying his community work and will be back in action soon. Faizal, I still fully support you.

I guess this is it. Just wanna share with ya my experience that night! As for movies, I can’t wait to watch 27 Dresses, starring the hot James Marsden!!!!!! And Katherine Heigl. With James Marsden in the cast…I must watch this one though it is, I believe it is another romantic comedy, which is lame I know. But who cares! Just go for the HOTTIE haha!

What is worst than having a lot of work to do? Not having anything to do, or doing something that bored you to death. I mean, when you’re stressed with work, at least when the work is done, you feel the satisfaction of a job done. Now, you’re like an aimless chicken…well maybe my aim is to finish running through that stack of newspaper… I’m telling you, there’s no drive to go to work every morning. I kind of missed college when we’re all stressed out with assignments. Though at that time, I complaint that life sucks too. But I think it feels better than now, cuz now you have no one to really confide in. In college, you have a bunch of cool people you work with and a team which knows the problems you are facing. Ok I do admit that I am quite choosy with my work but darn it, I’m sick of sitting at the desk and going through stacks of newspapers in search of the few articles on the movies produced by the company. Today is one of those days where you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and the whole day seems to s***. Yup! I was in a terrible mood today and thanks to being stuck going through newspapers. I mean, it’s such a boring job. I know I shouldn’t complain but I was hoping that I can do something more exciting. Plus, if only I have a friend going through this whole thing with me, I wouldn’t feel so bored and down. I heard those friends of mine who went for their internships in groups at least feel better because they all have company. I, on the other hand is stuck alone!!!! Plus today I had to endure a headache (I think caused by the coffee)
To sum it up…TERRIBLE DAY!!!

Tell me...it’s not my fault that I’m mad. What would you do if your colleague is coughing like hell? Please tell me you will politely go up to him/her and ask her how is she doing instead of a kinda rude, “Can you PLEASE go drink some water?”
That was what one of my colleague said to me today. I do admit that it is my fault that i’m coughing like hell and it could be very annoying. I have already drained multiple millilitres of water down my throat but it wasn’t helping much. I do not have my supply of Strepsils with me, so i had to settle with nearly coughing my lungs off. My other colleague was concerned about me and was nice enough to give me some advice on what to drink and stuff but this colleague of mine, who has a room which is so far away from my table suddenly came up to me with that statement. Seriously, i was really offended. I really wanted to bluntly reply “HELLO LADY!! CAN U SEE THE 2 BLOODY CUPS IN FRONT OF ME????” instead, i put on a very innocent and sorry face and say politely, “Yeah i did, so sorry”. And then again she said – “Just go drink some water OK!”
OK i am really really trying my very best to contain my anger. Part of me wanna cough louder to purposely get to her, but i was just thinking of the nice colleague of mine who sits nearer to me. I mean, be4 that angry colleague of mine came to me, i was really trying my best to not cough. It’s just that i couldn’t help it. Anywayz i do understand since she’s very stressed up with her workload. However, does that give you permission to pick on someone less significant in the office a.k.a. ME? She had some probs with my supervisor abt the budget and etc etc and i really hope she didn’t just vent her anger on me because of her workload. Me too am stress with my internship ok? You might think it’s amusing and relaxing sitting at your desk all day going through old newspaper to find related articles. Try doing it every day for a month or so. There is nothing much to that job actually. Well yea, it’s fun if you get to read what you wanna read, but now i have to go through news which i’m not interested in. Of course, since i’m sick and tired of just going through articles on local stars which, very sorry i don’t have much interest in, i of course curi-curi (stealthily) read some of the news on my fave Hollywood stars instead. If it wasn’t for the Hollywood segments which keep me alive, i’d be dead (cause of death: boredom) by now.

Of course there were times where i get to watch the movies first hand. But of course not the Hollywood movies la...the movies they produce, some which is quite good. But still, i think it is hard to get me to pay for thses movies. Still it is not as luring as Hollywood films and to be honest, some Hollywood films, they are more creative and has unpredictable ending. Malaysian films, sadly, most of them are copy-cats. But then, that’s what local audience wants. For example, Evolusi: KL Drift is what i (and all of my friends) call a blueprint (maybe with a localized content) of Tokyo Drift and the whatever drifts in Hollywood. But who cares really. I was at the cinema the other day planning to watch “Awake” (I will talk about that later) and i saw that it was FULL HOUSE for KL Drift. Put some hot stars in the movie and some excitement factor, people would want to watch. So i guess at the end of the day, people just want good entertainment, even though it might be predictable. I, however, would want something different, unpredictable, something with a great twist at the end, which leads me to “AwaKe” starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen. I wouldn’t say that it was as good as “Perfect Stranger” however. Both movies have a magnificent twist towards the end, but “Perfect Stranger” got my full attention throughout the movie, despite my headache. “Awake” however...there were moments where i hope it would progress faster. but i can assure you, the ending is not as simple and you won’t disappointed. Well at least that’s what i think.
I don’t have much time to watch movies these days though. It’s sad. Sigh. But i’ve been watching “Heroes”. I’ve got the whole 1st season and now i’m making my laptop play it everyday. It’s such a great show!!! I’m hooked. My fave characters are definitely Claire Bennett and Hiro Nakamura. Hiro is so adorable, especially when his cheeks wobble haha.... Claire Bennet played by Hayden Panettiere is also another great character. But i heard her character in season 2 is focused more on her love-life so it isn’t that nice. Anywayz, Hayden Panettiere is such a great actress, probably by far one of the best teenage actress, i would say. I watched her in “Ice Princess” and there was a scene of her and her mum, in which she cried because she was so disappointed with her mum and also how her mum controls her life and that scene was so touching. She conveyed that scene so perfectly that even i cried. I mean, usually, simple scenes like this won’t work if the actress’s acting is not convincing or good enough. Usually, sad scenes like this are accompanied by sad music, which is the main reason that makes you cry – the music. But in that scene however, i didn’t even remember whether there was music or not. Seeing Hayden’s tears touches me. OK maybe i’m exaggering the scene a little, but it is true!

Anyway It’s weird that i’m watching gol & gincu and they are having their internship. They however seem to be having a great time haha. First day of work sudah ada assignment penting. Please! The boss so nice and like close friends some more! Wah, sorry, the same can’t be said about my boss. I mean they are nice but then, we are not like friends. It’s still hard for me to gel with them. I have no idea why. Usually 2 months is more than enough for me to make new friends. Well, maybe i need more this time. I don’t know but my friends and 1 are so hoping to get back to college. We’re bored to death. There is nothing cool to do, nothing. We’re so used to having creative control in college with our assignments that now, we (or rather i) feel so left out during my company’s discussion. Yea i know i have to start from bottom. It’s just that, it’s not fun. There’s no drive to go to work every day because you know that there’s nothing challenging or exciting to do anyway. Unlike in college, you are stressed out because you have assignments to complete and lecturers to impress with your assignments. There’s always a purpose to go to college for, even though it can be stressful. Maybe i have the wrong thinking. Maybe everything has to begin from scratch. I guess i’m just a little impatient with things and in college, we are used to contributing ideas and talking alot and having so much fun with assignments, the sudden change of our nature of work just sucks the fun out of life.
OKAY i know what you’re thinking. Months ago i was longingly hoping to get an intern, and now i’m here complaining. OK so so sorry but that’s me and that’s human. I’m not saying that me complaining is a good thing, but please forgive me for just venting. Besides i did had a hard 2 months during this intern ya. N if you look at it positively, we don’t call it “COMPLAIN”, we call it “EXPRESSION OF THOUGHTS”. Innit better?? Haha. The only fun thing is the evaluation of potential movies, in which i get to share and write my opinions on whether the company should take on a movie or not. Even that evaluation i don’t get to do it often. I usually take my sweet time doing that since i like it.

I got to run. I’d love to write more but i got to watch Heroes. I am so anticipating the next episode haha. Maybe you’re tired of my craps anyway so i better go. Take care and i hope to annoy you guys with my petty probs again soon ya.
