Time for some music! ~Wicky-wicky wang wang~ (Sound effects)
It seems that everyone hates my songs selection. Hmm...i wonder why? I mean, i understand i love songs that are not mainstream, and actually, very un-Malaysian songs. For those who doesn't know me, i'm a huge fan of American country music. i have no idea why but i love 'country' stuff - the Texan accent and those hottie cowboys hehe....just so you guys know la, jensen ackles is from Texas hahaha....Chris Richardson too is from Virginia. I am starting to think that i could be from the South in my past life. haha...
Currently, i am so into Martina McBride, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Jessica Andrews, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Keith Urban and the not-so-country ones i love Jon McLaughlin, Colbie Caillat & John Mayer. And recently, i just found a new liking for classical songs and oldies, i have no idea why.
My bro & sis and now even my cousins are dissing my music selection. Well now i'm known as an old soul stuck in a young body. But then again, it's not like i dont listen to modern, contemporary songs okay. I like hip-hop & RnB too okay. But i prefer those songs which can actually be sung la haha i.e. slower ballads and country music. Actually wat's wrong with a 21-year-old liking slow or older songs ya? I dunno but i kinda appreciate those meaningful songs. Like i mentioned before, i admire those songwriters who can capture the essence of life in just a few lines. i mean, just 4 to 5 words, but deep in thoughts.
Some songs that you might wanna try listening to:
Martina McBride's songs are brilliant. I love those very motivational ones like "Anyway" and "Blessed".
"Anyway" is a song about doing things anyway. It's about taking that extra step even though you think that things might not work out the way you plan or want it to. I guess this song motivates one to act. Personally, this is the best advice for me, because it is always difficult for me to take that first step. Sometimes you can be very excited and fired up about doing something, but when it actually comes to doing it...i'm, sadly, usually more talk than action la. Sorry to say, but it's kinda true. So now, i am trying my best to take a tiny, itzy bitsy step into taking actions.
"Blessed" - the title says it all. Well i love this song becz i can relate to it too...i always feel blessed in life even though i know i'm not perfect and i usually screw up. but for someone like me, i feel tat God has given me practically everything. I mean, there are of course times when i am very ungrateful and i complain la...but still, most of the time, i'm glad to have the people around me and usually, i'd like to think that the things that happen around me are blessings in disguised. But Martina McBride sings about her husband and children - if i were to rewrite the song - it'll be about my family and my friends.
Mayberry by Rascal Flatts
this song is about our fast paced life in this modern society. the song reminisce the times where everyone is close-knitted in their villages and how today, all people think about is work. Then there's pollution etc. Chris Richardson actually sang this song on American Idol on Country music week...He always sings my fave songs haha.
Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw
When a man found out that he has not much time to live, he told his friend that - he went skydiving, rock & mountain climbing, he loved deeper and spoke sweeter....he gave forgiveness he had never been able to give and he became the husband and the man his wife had always wanted him to be...so his advice is - live like you were dying. i think it's true. That's wat i always try to do now. I eat watever i want now, because if i die tomoro, i dun wanna missed out on my fave ice-cream or my fave pepperoni flavored pizza. Sometimes it's applicable, but just don't overuse this theory. haha...like i'd always like to think - why study? if i die tomoro, i dun wanna be buried in a stack of notes, and have the thought that i actually bullied my brains into mulling over those thousands of little wordings. But then again...when you fail, you'd also think - i dun wanna die failing my papers la...so u guys do the judging. But watever it is ...the song just reminds us to appreciate life!! Live life to the max!!!
Try to listen to all Taylor Swift's songs. Taylor Swift is by far one of the best songwriters. But she writes mostly love songs, which actually relates to teenage girls (like myself) very well. I mean, she always writes about her crushes and how she won't be able to be with that guy, stuff like tat. I guess a lot of girls can relate to tat. Plus her lyrics are so simple but yet can describe a situation so aptly. That is truly amazing.
My 3 most favourite Taylor Swift songs have to be "Tim McGraw", "Our Song" and "Stay Beautiful".
Tim McGraw is not about the singer Tim McGraw, but rather asking the guy to think of her when he think of Tim McGraw. When i hear this song, i picture a romantic situation of a girl and her guy dancing on a hill, under the stars, with a pick-up truck behind them. Okla...forgive me, but girls are still girls ok. We still like a bit of romance ya. And secretly, i hope that Chris Richardson will also think of me when he hears Tim McGraw hahaha....*slap* slap* (=.=) ok i'm awake!
Our Song is so fun. The irony in the song is she is in search for a song that can be the song for her & her bf, but in the process of searching, she actually wrote a song for her and her bf....and "Our song" (a song abt not knowing wat song to make it "Our song") became their song. I dunno wat i'm crapping but nvm..it's a very fun song which i totally enjoy. Brilliantly written.
Stay Beautiful is very descriptive of what i wanna say to all my previous and current crushes (CR, JA) haha. It's tellling them that watever it is, they are wonderful people, and hopefully one day they'll end up in front of my door haha. But then if you and I are a story that never gets told, or they are just daydreams that i'll never get to hold - just stay beautiful haha.
I have so much more cool songs actually but now can't think of it ....
Once again, i have to stand by my songs. I'm so fed-up, so i told my bro n sis - i'm gonna marry the guy who actually likes my songs!! Haha....
Since my cousin Shereen is getting married soon, i wanna give her a present
So here are my Top 5 Recommended Wedding songs
(though some might once again consider them boring)
5. Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts
"Every long lost stream, Led me to where you are,
Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars,
pointing me on my way, into ur loving arms,
This much i know, it's true...tat God Blessed the Broken road that led me straight to you"
4. I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees
This is a typical wedding song...just watch the video
3. I'll Take My Chances by The Click Five
Marriage, to me, sad to say, is like a gamble. No matter how badly we want a fairytale ending in a relationship, sometimes, reality still sinks in. Even the Click Five agrees that every relationship is a gamble. So..."I'll take my chances with you" hehehe...I mean, hopefully, we can make it through together, through the hard times and the happy times. But then again...take it positively haha.
2. A Love Song You Might Hear in a Wedding by Jon McLaughlin
The title itself suggests tat it is a song for a wedding
I really love this track but it is super darn slow and for those of you who really dislike slow monotonous song - beware! Stay away from this song. My bro actually feels that all guests would run away if u play this song in ur wedding....but then again...it's stil a beautiful song, so i think it should make my list
"I need love, i can't see,
i'll be alright now, with you by my side,
and if tomorrow, you're gone, and i still go on,
i promise to spend the rest of me on you...
People say we are where we belong,
we hold each other's hand as if we are holding on,
And to me, a little of your you,
Is like a little bit of sun makes the moon..."
1. From This Moment On by Shania Twain
"From this moment, i have been blessed, i live only for ur happiness, and for ur love i'll give my last breath, from this moment on...
I give my hand to you with all my heart, I cant wait for to live my life with u, can't wait to start, you and i will never be apart, my dreams came true because of you..."
This is the most beautiful wedding song ever. I think if this song is played in a wedding, it will stimulate tears...or maybe it's just me?
The list is just for fun la....dun trust me cuz i'm "boring" haha. but seriously, give those songs a listen. there are pretty good.
Til next time....c ya
i hope u like the new Supernatural skin ...
